Sport, dance, movement and other activities are central to ensuring that this curriculum caters for all abilities and helps to break down any barriers to participation through providing a wide range of opportunities for all pupils to get involved with. At the core of this curriculum is a belief that children flourish when doing more and being encouraged to take part in new and engaging activities - and the PE Curriculum from the Lion Pathways team is nucleated around this as the key concept for all ages.

To access the thousands of digitised lessons we use to support the Lion Pathways Curriculum, you will need to sign up to Miro. This content-sharing platform lets teachers make, edit, share and distribute lessons to pupils, saving time and ensuring every student has a quality learning experience.

What am I learning? How does it relate to what I learnt last year and to what I'm going to learn next year? Our learning pathways graphically set out the whole subject curriculum and bring the learning journey to life for every learner, in each year.

For every lesson in every subject, the Lion Pathways Curriculum provides end-of-topic or end-of-module assessment sheets to print off and capture both pupil and teacher feedback for that piece of work. By actively tracking each learner’s views in a consistent and systematic way, it ensures their voice is heard and recorded, a core part of every element of the teaching and learning cycle.

Moving beyond simply looking at sport or limited participation, the Lion Pathways Curriculum creates opportunities for every pupil, of every ability to engage and participate fully in the PE curriculum. With a carefully designed sequence of skills development and engagement, this really is the PE Curriculum for every primary school to deploy.
